Wednesday at 7pm HOST Gallery will host a discussion panel about representing faith in photography.
Artists and academics will explore the moral and practical process of engaging with religious communities through the camera and the wider issues surrounding the visual representation of faith.
The event comes following the opening – on the 7th of March – of ‘Under Gods: stories from Soho Road’, an exhibition of the work of photographer Liz Hingley that gives an intimate portrait of different faith urban communities living along one road in Birmingham.
Tomorrow she will talk about her photographs with photographer John Angerson, professor of Christianity and the Arts at King’s College Ben Quash, and Claire Dwyer, Senior Lecturer in Geography at University College London.
